How to convert JPG images to PDF

  1. Add one or more JPG or JPEG images.
  2. Drag the rows into the order you want the pages to appear in.
  3. Choose A4 or Letter, portrait or landscape.
  4. Decide whether the images should keep their original quality.
  5. Press "Create PDF" and download images.pdf.

Supported files and limits

  • Input formats: JPG and JPEG, including JPEG files saved with the .jfif extension.
  • Up to 50 images per job, each up to 100 MB.
  • Wider images are resized to 2400 pixels when a quality level is selected, so a single phone photo cannot blow up the memory use or the file size.
  • The EXIF orientation flag is applied by your browser when the image is decoded, so photos from phones appear the right way up.
  • Transparency is not applicable: JPEG does not support an alpha channel, and every page is filled with white before the image is drawn.

What this tool does not do

  • It does not convert PNG, WebP, HEIC, TIFF, GIF, BMP or SVG files.
  • It does not run OCR, so a PDF made from a scan stays an image and its text is not searchable.
  • It does not add page numbers, headers, captions or a table of contents.
  • It does not compress the images beyond the quality setting you choose.
  • It cannot repair a damaged JPEG; such a file is reported and skipped.

Frequently asked questions

Which image formats are supported?

JPG and JPEG only. PNG, WebP, HEIC, TIFF, GIF and BMP are not converted by this tool, and the interface says so instead of pretending to accept them. Export or save those images as JPEG first and then add them here.

Will my images be stretched to fill the page?

No. Each image is scaled by a single factor until it fits inside the page, so the original proportions are kept. A wide photo simply leaves white space above and below instead of being distorted.

Should I choose A4 or Letter?

A4 (210 x 297 mm) is the common paper size outside North America. Letter (8.5 x 11 in) is the standard in the United States and Canada. The page box changes; the images themselves are not affected.

Does the quality setting change the output?

Yes, and the interface explains the difference before you run the job. "Keep original quality" embeds the JPEG data untouched, so no recompression happens. Choosing a quality level re-encodes images that are wider than 2400 pixels, which reduces file size at the cost of fine detail.

Why is the PDF bigger than the photos I added?

A PDF stores each image inside a document structure, so a PDF is usually a little larger than the sum of its images, especially for very small photos. If the result is much larger, the tool tells you how much and suggests a lower quality setting.

Can I change the order of the images?

Yes. Drag a row, use the arrow buttons, or focus a row and press Alt with the up and down arrow keys. The order in the list is the page order in the PDF.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. The JPEG files are read and placed into the PDF by JavaScript in your browser. Nothing is transmitted to this server, which also means the service works offline once the page has loaded.
