Split PDF Pages Online
Cut a PDF into the parts you need. Choose page ranges such as 1-3, 5, 8-10 and save them as one new document or as a separate file for every page.
Your files are processed locally in your browser tab. They are not uploaded to this server and they are not sent to any third party.

How to split a PDF
- Add the PDF file you want to split.
- Read the detected page count and, if you want, the preview of the first pages.
- Type the pages you want to keep, for example 1-3, 5, 8-10.
- Choose whether those pages become one document or one file each.
- Press "Split PDF" and download the result, or the ZIP archive for several files.
Good to know
- The page count is read from the document itself, not guessed from the file size.
- Pages are copied in the order you type them, which also lets you reorder pages.
- Writing the same page twice creates one copy, and the interface tells you so.
- An incomplete range such as "1-999" on a ten page document is cut at page 10 with a note.
- Each stored page keeps its original rotation, so scanned pages stay the right way up.
What this tool does not do
- It does not edit page content, add or delete text, or merge two documents (use Merge PDF for that).
- It does not unlock password-protected documents.
- It does not split by bookmarks, chapters or file size, only by page number.
- It does not keep bookmarks, form fields or annotations of the source file.
Frequently asked questions
How do I write a page range?
Use commas for separate pages and a hyphen for a range: 1-3, 5, 8-10. Spaces are ignored. Pages are copied in the order you type them, so "5, 1-3" puts page 5 first.
What is the difference between the two output options?
"One PDF with the selected pages" produces a single document containing exactly the pages you listed. "A separate PDF for each page" produces one file per page, which is delivered as a ZIP archive when you select more than one page. Individual download buttons are also listed so you can take a single file without unpacking the archive.
Can I split a PDF without losing quality?
Yes. The pages are copied from the original document rather than re-rendered, so text remains selectable, images keep their resolution and vector graphics stay vectors.
What happens if I type a page number that does not exist?
The range is validated before anything is processed. A page beyond the last page is reported with the real page count, a backwards range such as 7-3 is explained, and duplicates are listed only once. The tool will not silently drop or invent pages.
Why does the file list not appear for some files?
Password-protected PDFs and damaged files are rejected when the document is opened, with a message explaining which of the two it is. A protected file must be unlocked in a PDF reader and re-saved before it can be split here.
Is there a page limit?
Documents with more than 2,000 pages are accepted but you will be warned, because splitting a large range holds a lot of data in memory. Splitting a smaller range at a time is more reliable on phones and tablets.
